HP COMPAQ QUESTION

I opened my HP Elite 8000 SFF to clean it, while it was running, and I've done this without any problems before, but this time, it froze, and Window didn't want to restart! It took a few times, and it told me Windows had been unable to re-start! It did start back though, normally! Thank God! I think there is a button at the back edge of the case, and maybe it was dusty! Could someone tell me what might have happened?
