You know, when Libreboot left GNU.

No libreboot on my Thinkpad, I'm just not that paranoid & I didn't need anything I couldn't get from BIOS.

I'm on a spy infested Fedora XPS 13 now. I wish it were a Carbon but I got a good deal.

*edit*
I think everything should just be under the WTFPL.

Only if you don't mind being sued.
No-waranty/liability disclaimers exist for a reason.

If I own something it's mine to hack, and this is open source anyway. Most of us who live, eat, sleep & breathe technology recognize that open sharing of intellectual property is the only efficient MO for the future of the industry & all our tecnical disciplines. I'm not about to get sued for treating my gadgets the way manufacturers do.

There should be a disclaimer on your gadgets that says half the good ideas in the world are in patent portfolios so no one else can use them. If I distribute code, I want to be beyond sure it reaches the maximum possible audience and that they're encoraged to redevelop my ideas.

Does everything from Dell have spyware? Even after you put Linux on it?

I'm just whining about the overall risks of having an Intel machine full of Chinese guts & new 'management engine' features.
