If you delete your history browser, will that help your computer run better?

it depends on how many other things are wrong with your puter. it can't hurt if you purge your browser history. other things you can do are to delete/uninstall programs you don't use, offload any unnecessary files onto external media, keep the hard drive defragged, invest in additional RAM. those won't speed up your puter but they will enable it to run less slowly.

I doubt it will make any difference, it's such a small file.

Having enough RAM makes the biggest difference, at the moment 16GB seems to be the sweet spot for performance vs cost.
Make sure you've got 10% free space on your hard drive if you're running on low RAM, or install a SSD if you're not using one already.
