Today i just downloaded Openoffice for my computer. Runs awesome and has a good excel/ database program. I however was wondering on how to work with the rest of OpenOffice.

I've got a lot of experience with Open Office crashing every single time I start to type. I haven't been able to explore the rest of the functions, for having to wait for the system to restart, and then attempt to retrieve my work. I have sent crash reports, to no avail. I've no idea if its just my computer, or Open Office. Good luck with that!

I run OO on my MacBook and it runs really well for me.

What other functions are you talking about?

I've used OpenOffice Math to create some integral equations. By typing in

Code:
int` dx over "3x+4"

you can create a simple integral very easily.

Also I've used OpenOffice Impress to open a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file. Impress is like a clone of Microsoft PowerPoint, in terms of its functionality.

OpenOffice is more or less similar to MS Office in most of the things it can do, I prefer it over MS Office because it is free and more reliable :D

Slow if you aren't on Linux. It's good though, Staroffice and Openoffice are more compatible with M$ Office than any non-M$ office suite I've used. Openoffice and Staroffice are also the most full-featured non-M$ office suites I've used.
