Yes, it turns out that to make a claim with the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Individual Assistance Center, your Web browser must be Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6 or higher and you must have JavaScript enabled. It even says so right on the page itself. One problem: IE6 isn't available for Macintosh or Linux computers.


You know, it's one thing when online banks and other sites only work in IE, but it's something totally different when the government's sites only work with IE. :roll:

It seems to be part of the great patriotic "support you local monopoly" scheme across the federal gov't. People have been kicking up about having to get Windows to register patents for the same reason, nothing else is supported.
