I'd say around 7-9 years old.

Kindergartners complete similar work but the kindergarten sheet would only have the pattern repeated once - They also sometimes create patterns on a calendar, read the pattern, and tell what shape comes next.

I would also say 8, but only because the numbers of rows on the page, which would allegedly make it more difficult for younger children to pay attention to what pattern they were looking at, and what shapes they had the option of circling

Thanks, so I think 8 years seems to be the average. Well Damien is 5 and has only done that once before yesterday.
I think he shows great promise in those sort of maths problems.
He also did a basic addition today and out of 25 questions he got 16 right. Very basic adding up to only 10 but I was impressed! I had to ask him the answer tho because his handwriting was not good at all but he knew the answer to most of them :D
