black outs and linksys routers such fun

This is just a whining session but I’m also wondering if I’m not the only one having this problem, just yesterday due to weather we had black outs, now my perfectly stable home networked router is on fritz identifying the network I set up just hours ago as a new network.

So I’ve come to a simple formula blackouts + linksys router = fun (Sarcasm)

I'm downloading something right now on a Linksys router that (due to bad weather) is going at about
38k/sec, vs a lot faster when the sun shines...

If the Linksys is a WRT54G before version 5 or a WRT54GL, flash it over to DD-WRT or Tomato.
