Indeed, there is no evidence suggesting Vista has any useful purpose, whereas where would we be without...

Uh, Why does everybody hate Vista? We need manure to grow things. Just look at MacOS X :-) Everything Microsoft hates is spelled Macintosh....

Don't know if it's because it's a BSD clone...

Vista doesn't have great hardware support and lets face it.. these days everyone has at least a little old hardware, maybe you have a new printer, but you could have an old Printer/Scanner/USB Drive/Camera etc...

Erm. But of course. Every new Windows OS runs slower than the prior one, on the same hardware.

Naturally, you will have trouble exploiting a dual processor system with Windows 3.1, but on a reasonably old single processor setup, it will run faster than Vista.

(Actually, given that Vista won't run at all on most hardware, a frog will run faster.)

Thats not hard to do if you have the virtual memory high and had 2 hard disks . I got old Pentium 233Mhz Machines booting 98SE in 5 Seconds and getting 99% System Resources free.

However i have a lot of experience in the Computer Repair Shop at the High School i go to.
