At the risk of sounding like a caveman, here I go...

iPod mini (2nd gen), 4GB
545 songs / 1.4 days / 2.07 GB
no video or photos, for obvious reasons.
Other: 23.5 MB (not sure what that is)

It's worth pointing out that this is the iPod provided by my school, so some of the "songs" are actually school podcasts. It can't be off my much, though...

My school does the podcast thing as well though I don't think Mason provides IPods to students. However we can be buy iPods at the campus computer store.

iPod Classic 80 GB

Music: 5.48 GB
Photos: 602 MB
Other: 505 MB

I used to have 30 GBs or 5000 songs but that was wiped off not long ago when my computer stuffed up.

iPod Touch 16GB

Music: 13.88GB/1661 songs/4.9days
(71 of the songs are actually music videos, which under iTunes are listed as music)
Other: 194.9MB (I assume this is firmware updates and internet cache)
Free space: 787.3MB

All my music is encoded with AAC at an average of 256kbps VBR. Since I bought myself some very high quality headphones (they're more expensive than the iPod Touch) I've used high bitrates since I can discern the difference using these.

Don't want an iPod or anything else from Apple due to ostracism in boy scout troop.

My daughter is vacillating between an iPod Classic or Touch (32Gb).
Once she saves enough money to buy one, she is going to sell her 2nd Gen. Nano-Green to me and I will then have 8 times the storage capacity of my current iPod!

She can have my old iPod to give to her mom (her idea).

I can't believe you'd show your face around here with so much space left on your iPod!
We'll give you another chance to redeem yourself though!

Oh... and it better be GOOD music! :D
