A wierd thing is happening with my PS2:

When plugging the PS2 into my VCR and then plugging the VCR to the tele, every few seconds I'll get the VCR's empty blue screen - the disc is still spinning, the sound is still running, but there is no picture.

This doesn't happen when the playstation is connected straight into the tele, nor does it happen when playing a video, nor does it happen when I play cable tv through the VCR.

This is annoying the hell out of me.. I can't make any sense out of it????

hmmm... perhapse a loose connection with the VCR + PS2?? I had the exact same problem when I had my old Sega genisis as a kid. Obviously they make the cables and connections better these days but just a thought.

I get a similar problem, though I just plug the PS2 and Gamecube directly into the AV sockets. I think the AV connections in the TV itself get worn or dicky. It happens with both my Gamecube and my PS2, so the problem might be your VCR's AV inputs. Also, what happens with me is that I either get a picture and no sound, or the screen goes to the standard AV screen. I just jiggle the connections, or unplug and replug until I am satisfied.

Nope... I've worked out the problem:

Lo and behold, those big businesses are telling their legal customers "F**k you. Even if you need to watch our DVDs through a VCR because your TV doesn't have RCA inputs, you can't watch it anyway. Even if you have no intention of copying our sh*tty product." (If i did want to copy, i'd simply flip em the bird and use DVD Decrypter.)

I know this to be the case now after talking with an expert & trying DVDs without that Macrovision sh*t...

This gets me so angry.

Anyway, for my video game systems I use something my dad gave me that he calls an adapter box (or something like that). It's a small box of somekind that takes the three piece plugs from most game systems commonly used these days, and also plugs right to the TV (tele). It looks like your TV might have the plug to suit it. It beats having to use the VCR!

I think I had the PS1 plugged in it before. Currently, Nintendo game cube is plugged in it. It also has a plug in for a TV or VCR cable. I don't know if there are any electronics, or parts stores in your area. I have never had a problem useing it. I might edit here, if I find a link about the thing.

Oh wait, it's a RF modulator...
I found this while brousing. I'm not sure if it would help or go directly to the TV set, because I don't have a PS2.
