I'm surprised not a lot of people use it.

i use it, mane have gave up on it because of the webcam invites from idiots who want to show off stuff that belong in adult section 8O

its a harmless messenger if you stay out of the sicko chats, and also dont put ASL (age, sex location) iwthin your yahoo or yahoo 360 profile, many asians sit there searching for future people to have a quickie with (no strapples, not the wheelchair makers)

but yahoo since many people do have yahoo web mail it can become a great tool to communicate with friends or make new ones

I have yahoo, but I don't know many people that use it. I have the same name on yahoo as I do here and almost everyone other site I'm signed up on.

I like Yahoo Messenger being that it's probably the best original client out there. It blows MSN Messenger and especially AIM (I HATE AIM!! !) out of the water. What I've been using lately is Pidgin, which is a client that supports MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk and tons of others.

My name on Yahoo is patrick_a_frechette

Add me if you want to.

I would use it but it never works for me.
I have an odd problem I can't seem to ever fix with it, and this problem has carried over through numerous delete/installs, using different browsers, etc.

Basically, it loads fine and works problem-free except that whenever someone writes something I cannot see it. Ever.

Oh well :(

I use trillian, which has MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, and IRC. I have a account in each one, so I only need to open one program.

Trillian is the same idea as Pidgin. I don't like Trillian though because it's adware and if you want the full ad-free version you have to pay money. Paying money for a program when you download something that is identical which isn't ad-supported is absurd. The creators of Trillian should be shot. Another company that now makes me cringe is Adobe. Photoshop costs nearly $1000 when you can download Gimp, which is just as good if not superior to Photoshop. I HATE greedy companies...

I have a Yahoo Messenger account. I use it sometimes when I IM someone that I know with Yahoo messenger. I don't know too many people with Yahoo Messenger. I mostly use either MSN or even AOL messenger.

I usually go with aim since everyone I know uses it... no need for cross-compatibility...
