Google is the best thing that ever happened to the internet. I use Google to search things, I use Gmail to send and receive emails, and now I use Googlepages to create webpages and host files.

I am a huge fan of Google.

Haha they will rule the world one day!

But I agree, Google is great! So many useful applications. I love having an online calendar, word processor, notebook etc

I admit the privacy concerns with google are concerning...

But at the same time, you can't deny the level of technological advancement they've driven. They're changing the way people use computers and the internet dramatically.

and their software works wonderfully..

I use gmail, and it works great, and unlike the travesty known as MS outlook (or the other travesty known as Mozilla Thunderbird), gmail's standard web client is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate...

I like the Google search engine, but that's about it.

I liked Direct Hit. THAT was a good search engine, but then they got sold and became Teoma and then died a horrible death when the internet bubble burst.

I use Google alot too. It's just become a reflex to Google something. I'm surprised AltaVista still exists in any capacity.

And yes I do use Gmail because I was invited back when you still had to be invited in the first place to get on and i'd wanted to use it and I jumped when none other than my best friend (who'd just been invited himself) sent me an invite. Also I have to love Google because they own Blogger, who host my blog.
