Playstation Emulator Cheat Plug-in won't work

I followed the instructions for the pec 2.5 cheat plug-in in the epsxe 1.7.0 playstation emulator. But I still can't get the cheats to work.

I ran on the cheats on .iso files instead of cd-roms.

Any help would be appreciated.

it's a never-ending struggle. It's possible that the Playstation folks found out about it, and rewrote the code to make it not work.
