Have you ever noticed how if you start a new thread, and then return to the forum, within a few seconds it will have received nine views?

In fact, a quick glance suggests to me that if the number of views for any given thread is below 100, it is always a multiple of three.

What are the chances of this? Three-to-one I would say.

Have I stumbled upon something here?

Prizes for anyone who can disprove my conjecture.

Well, no one has read my post yet.
But zero is still a multiple of three.

I sometimes wonder if certain forums are monitored in a special way. The other day I posted something in the Adult forum and literally one second after posting it there had been 6 views (your 3 multiple there). I wonder if posts there are automatically "viewed" and passed to moderators for content checking?

in order to prevent the database from being needlessly taxed, I added some code that will only count a view 1 out of 3 times. Of course, to make the view count, accurate, every one out of three times, the view will increase by 3. Anything above 30 views should be accurate w/in 3 views. So views less than 15 have the potential to be very inaccurate (either way lower than the true number or way above.
