For a while I had a Mac version of the Lynx web browser on my computer, and it ran using Terminal, but ever since I deleted the browser, Terminal won't work. I need to get it back because I bought a wireless network router, and the software won't run without Terminal. Somebody help me!

A little more info ...

What happens when I try to run Terminal is that the Unix screen appears, prints something, and then disappears so quickly I can't see what happens. But the Terminal menu still appears in the menu bar on top of the screen. I just tried deleting and reinstalling the application, but it's not working.

did you already try reinstalling the browser?

a quick search returned these:

hope it helps (:

if that doesn't work I'd suggest asking in a mac forum

I tried reinstalling the OS, and that didn't work, so I just downloaded iTerm. So now I can get the Unix prompt to stay on the screen, but if I run a man command, it ends with the word [END] and the only way I can get the prompt back is to open a new window/tab. Anyway, the original reason I wanted to know is that I had just bought a new network router, but the CD that came with it had a bunch of UNIX executable files that I couldn't use because of the problem I was having with the app. But I downloaded the setup wizard from Linnksys's website, so I don't really need it right now. I may have to resign myself to not having it until I get a new computer. That's OK, I don't need it now.
