yes, sure. you'll find enough games for it to nonstop play the next 100 years if you want to.
I played FreeCiv against my brother quite a lot.

It's only the new games with high end graphics that you won't get.
Linux games won't have that gfx quality. But for me most are good enough. if the game is fun, I don't care if I get realistic reflections on the surface of a car or something.

With some of the games you have to be lucky though, to get them run with your gfx board/driver combination.

If you look in that list many games are very new, very sophisticated. Tremulous/quake/half-life2 mods.. I see a lot more companies area porting to opengl instead of directx.

Packages like Crystal space are completely modern and the games made with them are indistinguishable from regular commercial endeavors.

But yeah, i rank the game on fun, not prettiness.

IMO pc gaming is a waste of money.

I agree. I suck at video games anyways. I do like that game Free Col because it is like Colonization.

Yeah but the games usally have no budget. Are marketed very poorly so nobody will know about them. However they are fun and thats all I care about. If I cared so much about graphics I'll buy $3000 Gaming PC's like the rest of the WOW losers out there with no life.

Most of the programs on that site for linex are shovel ware. Yes there are a few well known ports but not many.

Why would one want ports of the mindlessly repetitive MS tat?
