What do you love about computers?

I love the order and the methodical nature of computers. They are predictable and reasonable, unlike humans.

I can use them to create my own worlds.

Easy, how they represent me and how my mind works similar to them...
One processor, a sequence of events in order, a major crash when something happens when it shouldn't, and the confusion of all updates that conflict with everything else.

Honestly I think it was the "I can make it do whatever I want" so with newer computers I understood the difference between "bug/glitch" and "virus" and save money by knowing my computer inside and - well who cares about the outside

I like the infinite possibilities, the access to the internet with its own infinite possibilities. It's a tool, a toy, a project, a means of communication, a mode of self-expression, a source of entertainment, a way to find things, a way to make things.

I love their various ports.

The simplicity they induce in solving our day-to-day problems, mathematical, personal or otherwise, and their introduction of such a high level of communication of information. However, I detest our dependency on them in the modern world. I truly am looking forward to the day that I never have to rely on a computer again (I'd prefer this to happen at my retirement rather than the apocalypse).

I love the logic of them and programming. It is somehow like composing a symphony, seeing the final program run and do my bidding, running thousands of lines of code and instructions flawlessly. Very satisfying somehow.

I like being able to keep up with the outside world and what all the stupid NT's that are in charge anre doing to screw things up and I like being able to work on my art without having alot of expensive art equipment to get damaged or broken or lost or something.

They retrieve and retain large amounts of imformation without understanding it or asking you why you want it - sorta like a very discrete librarian.
