Is the ability to automatically clear your private data on exit an available option for Opera or Seamonkey? To me, the ability to clear my private data upon exciting my web browser is essential. My privacy is extremely important.

To me, it's crazy how web-browsers automatically store your history for you. To manually have to erase your private data yourself is far too much of a hassle.

Firefox has the option to clear history. Also you should try the CCleaner program.

Yeah, I currently use Firefox. I also use CCleaner, but I'd like to find out if there's a way to get Opera or Seamonkey to allow you to clear your private data upon closing your browser.

If there's a way to do this with Seamonkey, I may switch to it from Firefox. If there is a way to do this with Opera, I'll probably make it my secondary browser.

I use a program called Tracks Eraser, it even cleans the index.dat file in IE, which tends to get bloated.

Firefox also has the option to not take down any history (although that may be a problem in terms of cookies to stay logged in and such...)

In Opera under the Tools menu there is the option to delete private data,

Also under tools>preferences>Advanced tab>History there is an option to set Opera to delete your browsing history everytime you exit.
But it might depend on what version you have i'm using V9.25
