Does anyone know of a free download for vista that would let you...

Either convert mpeg-4 files to .wav (or anything else Windows-compatible)
Or
Edit videos - rotate the files and possibly also fix the sound and sharpen the image?

Must be freeeeeee. Any tips would be great - basically, my video phone films sideways for some reason and only to mpeg-4, so the Windows moviemaker thing won't accept them.

It is good if you are patient it does a decent enought job as I recall. You can simply uninstall it afterwards, if you don't have any projects for a while.

Virtualdub, not the friendliest but is very powerful.

There's also VideoSpin, from the Avid/Pinnacle people
