Fitting CD inlay images to CD case

Been trying to re-size this inlay image to fit the CD case when printed, and even though I have the specific measurements, when I enter them into the re-size options in picture editing programs, no luck.


Anyone have any tips?

1.- open document(the inlay) and change DPI to 300
2.- adjust size of the inlay to real size
3.- make a new document, letter size, and copy-paste the 300 DPI inlay image in the center.
4.- save as PDF
5.- open in acrobat (if you have it), and in the window dialog that appears select DONT RESIZE
6.- enjoy.

what program are you using?

gad, I remember trying to do this in Corel Draw about 10 years ago... took the same measurements, had to remember to include the edges, etc. I just took an old CD insert, measured, it, and eventually cut it out with scissors to fit...

There used to be cheapo CD label programs back in the day that did this. You might find some out on the net...

I know that there are supply companies (for the recording industry, DJs, studios, etc) that supply the blanks to size. I used them a very long time ago for cassettes. Check that out as well
