Wierd Internet Problem

Let me guess... you have a WRT54G?

If you answer yes I might be able to help you. I spend about a fortnight on the same problem at my last job... some protocols work... just not http... I just have to remember what I did to fix it.

The best fix for a Linksys router of that family is to put on 3rd party firmware from DD-WRT. Google DD-WRT and maybe try their firmware... it's good stuff.

Nope, and I already have 3rd party firmware on it (theres an issue with my specific linksys router that it keeps records of connections for 2 weeks... which means that bit torrent will cause it to crash quickly as it exhausts its memory).

My internet problem mysteriously went away.

Installing Apache on Windows XP is a dangerous stuff. As Windows XP isn't really cut out for Apache part as a server.

It is possible that your web blockade might be because of some config changes made by apache. The only way to be sure is to check them.

How you do that on Windows XP is a more difficult question.
