What is your prediction(s) about Microsoft's upcoming operating system?

I think that it will be better than Vista but it will have the traditional problems of quality in the first year that all windows OPs have and I think it will take a year after it hits the market for it to be worth a serious look. I also think that the multi touch screen monitor support will not generate a lot of buzz because of the price tag of such monitors along with the global recession.

So my prediction is most likely it will do better than vista if Microsoft puts quality 1st.

I feel the multi touch screen feature is a bit gimmicky. While it will undoubtedly lend itself to specialised applications or public terminals, I don't think it will offer much or any benefit to the average computer user. Can you really do that much more with it than you can do with a mouse? A mouse only needs small movements but with a touch screen have you got to move your hand all over the screen? It seems excessive. The screen is also likely to get quite dirty too, I hate when people point something out on my screen and actually touch it leaving a finger print or smudge on the screen.
