OK. Another daft question for someone to shoot down in two seconds flat. :)

I have a Blogger photoblog that I use to post pictures to. I was thinking of finding somewhere to put my full-size pictures up where the public can see them - and Flickr seems to fit the bill. However I want somewhere I can properly explain their contents.

Any ideas? Or do I simply keep the photoblog going with Flickr links?

Cheers. :)

That is always the best. First off all you need to do then is continue to use the same format, and just post 'display' sized pictures up on blogger. It gives you many more publishing and formatting options than any flicker account.

Why pay money, when you can get the same thing for free?

"somewhere I can properly explain their contents. "

I'll just mention that there's 2 fields. One 'name' and one 'description' field. You can also mark rectangles on the image (noting stuff on it).

I take for example this image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31331745@N02/3501075010/ . If you hover your mouse over certain areas of the image , you'll notice the notes I've put on the image.

Use both. Keep your site but take advantage of the flickr galleries. And just copy the image link when showing them in your site.
