How do I stop Jaunty from asking for a keyring password when the comp is trying to access the network? I do not have a password to boot into Jaunty, the Admin password is the same as the one for Keyring. Its not a big issue but it just annoys the s**t out of me!

Yep nice and easy. I also had a look around Ubuntu forums but all I found were really complex fixes requiring a s**t load of code and a lot of mucking around. Thanks.

If you want to dip very lightly into that, Can I suggest that you look up conky?

It makes a really nice desktop addition.

I think I saw some reference to yahoo mail. I dont see why not, as the process links into the sort of process you would use for gmail... I'll see if i can find something. The ubuntu forum has a 500+ page(I do not exaggerate) thread about peoples conky scripts.

Regarding the weather, I get my feed from www.weather.com . I had to sign up and gain a serial number, but it was free.

It seems this guys script makes use of yahoo email as well as gmail. I had to look close to see it though.

This will take you far..

and the 711 pages of shared conky scripts..

I get the feeling that ubuntu users like to share with the community!

And you can go to www.gnome-look.org and search 'conky' for even more!

You can try gkrellm, but it doesn't look as neat as Conky. http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bil ... rellm.html
Ubuntu's repositories should have it and a bunch of plugins for it
