That's kind of cute. I was expecting to see something like the p-p-p-powerbook.

Thanks for the link. Brilliant. I particularly liked the line...

I found this Home made wooden Lunchbox Computer to be a lot more ambitious in design. FWIW, the blog that the Home made wooden Lunch Box Computer also has lots of other absolutely brilliantly crazed technology on it, but then again, it's not surprising considering the fact that the blog is about Russia.

Still though, Russians create some of the most interesting computer cases.

I'd seen that already; it's Wall-e. Shows every milling, lathing, and power tool step put into making it. Someone has too much time on their hands there...;)

The original Apple computer prototype (submitted for patent) was made out of a wooden exterior...;)

Fogman - those are awesome! I love the lunchbox computer - looks like a cold-war relic. Great site.

Nice computer cases, but what I would like to see someone do is to make a mouse in the style of an old fashioned classic morse key. An iambic or best of all a vibroplex key would be the basis of the design I think would look cool. This mouse would not be moved by the operator rather you would move the cursor over the screen using the levels on the key. It might be best to use a set of force sensors to make the mouse an analogue device which would need some sort of ADC to allow it to tell the computer how hard you are pushing or pulling a level. I think that the harder the user pushs or pulls then the faster the cursor should move.
