The Sand Man.

A little girl, just after having lost her father, and placed in the custody of her aunt, is haunted by a bogeyman she calls the Sand Man. But is her bogeyman there to hurt her, or protect her?
Not a great movie, but still something for the Halloween season.

Stickman.

A teenage girl is released to a halfway house from the psychiatric hospital she had lived in since age ten, when she had been accused of killing her mother and sister. In fact, she is being stalked by a corpse-like entity called the Stickman in her dreams, after reading a poem about the creature as a child, as her sister before her. She thought she was safe after trapping it in pictures she draws of it. When she is released to the all girls halfway house, the thing follows her with murder on it's mind.
This movie does have a few legitimate scares, though the Stickman itself is just unrealistic CG. That, and the movie is itself derivative of A Nightmare On Elm Street, and Bye Bye Man. I've seen better.

The Imitation of Life

A 1934 film based off of Fannie Hurst's novel of the same name. I had to watch this for a class assignment and will be watching the 1960 remake next.
