As I mentioned in a previous post, GreysonM, I did a review thread of the classic series stories currently on DVD.

And here's some of the trailers for the better classic series stories. Warning: there's some flashing on the trailer for The War Games, so if you are photosensitive, be careful...

Well, soundtracks of all missing episodes exist and have been released on CD. So do novelisations (though some might be hard to get). In addition, all episodes that exist from missing stories (with the exception of the most recently discovered ones, Galaxy 4: Air Lock and The Underwater Menace episode 2) are currently out on DVD in the Lost in Time boxset. Unless they are from a story that has the majority of episodes intact. This includes The Reign of Terror, The Tenth Planet, The Ice Warriors, and The Invasion, the last of which is on DVD, with the missing two episodes animated.

As I said earlier, I recently watched (and reviewed) most of the classic series from beginning to end. I have also done catch-ups with releases released since then. Sometimes, it was a masochistic experience. Unless you want to watch them for the sake of completeness, avoid The Ark, Four to Doomsday, and The Twin Dilemma. But there are many great ones that I could suggest. You could look through my review thread, the one whose link I posted, and look at which stories did the best. :)

I got into Doctor Who during the early summer and started obsessing over it, but then for some reason I took a break from it for several months. Today I decided to start getting back into it again, because I really missed the Doctor. I was so amused to log onto Wrong Planet and see a new Doctor Who thread!

I'm starting over from Season 2 and going from there, so basically all the David Tennant and Matt Smith episodes. David Tennant is my Doctor, though I think Matt Smith is good too and the first Doctor Who episode I saw was a Tom Baker one.

I saw my first episode a few years ago (The Next Doctor) but I didn't pay attention so I didn't really like it but now I LOVE IT!

The barman says, "We don't serve time travellers in here!"

The Doctor walks into a bar.

Doctor Who jokes are timeless :P

I'm a fan, but you define obsessed as you'd like. Loved the Christmas special, and looking forward to the next season. My favourite so far is Eccleston, but Tenant grew on me. I feel Smith is a great choice because season 6 at least is a semi-reboot because it was shown on BBC America, which explains the long story arch. This, parred with Russel T. Davies quitting means we might go back to the more random episodes, seeing as the newer audience has got a bit of familiarity with the show now.

I am obsessed with Doctor Who! My favorite Doctors are David Tennant and Tom Baker, but I'm really liking Matt Smith. I love Torchwood, too, and how different the show is from Doctor Who, although it is still similar enough to be in the same universe. I think I ought to stop right now, because once I really get started talking about Doctor Who, it is very hard for me to stop, but I'm sure I'll be back!

"I don´t look human, you look timelord."
Greatest explanation of why an alien looks exactly like a human ever.

Too bad Tennant quit. The new Doctor is not quite as good.

Also the new daleks look like home appliances, don´t you think, whereas the old ones looked like salt shakers.
Go salt shakers!

I disagree. I think they look like toddler-toys. I really don't like them, I prefer the older ones.

As for the new doctor, I like him. He's more happy-go-lucky, but that makes the dark sides so much more accented than Tennant's.

I love Doctor Who and Torchwood, and David Tennant is definately my favourite. Matt Smith has grown on me somewhat, but I don't have the same "I have to see it when it airs!!" thing now, which is a shame. Not that into the classic ones though, I only got into it with the reboot.

Still love doing my Torchwood and DW costumes though, is fun trying to source all the bits and the costuming group I'm with raises money for charity, which is an added bonus. People seem to love seeing us at events :) Yes my avatar is a picture of me- a photographer friend took that picture at the Doctor Who exhibition, then a load of kids wanted thier picture with us, was fun :D

My first doctor was Matt Smith and since his first episode i have become a huge fan of Doctor Who. Of course David Tennant is brilliant but Matt is my favourite. Cannot wait for the next season!
