as some of you might know, i have an obsession with the tv progame "skins" that is boadering on madness so i aplogise in advance if i go on a little....

Have any of you guys ever seen JJ's edisode in series 3?
i thought his portrayl of life with Aspergers was brillent and totally spot on..(.unlike other most other tv progames espially "home and away" ,i presnolly found the prortyal of ASD by Brandon mildly insulting!)

I found alot of soleace in skins really helped me feel less alone. if any of you have seen it what do you think?

Did you guys ever find anyone in books or on tv that you can relate to well?

xxx

Like more than half of the people on wp Im from the USA so I dont know the show "skins".

Is it about a music drummer?

Thats the only reason I can think of for a showing being called "skins".

And for those outside the UK left wondering: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skins_%28TV_series%29

Lol no it's not about a music drummer. Skins is a drug reference. Slang name for the rizla paper required to roll a joint/spliff.

They produced a US version of Skins last year and immediately cancelled it at the end of the first season because American audiences apparently couldn't handle it.

I'm a pretty big skins fan OP. Are you watching the current season? The new character Alex looks like a complete moron but fun nonetheless.

I did see JJ's episodes. I have to say I don't quite relate. I'm not sure what form of autism he has. His season 4 personality fits me a little better I guess.

Yeah Grace was dropped pretty quickly in S6. Half the cast is missing now lol. Grace is dead, Rich ran off, Matty ran off. Franky's about to run off! Damn.

Not sure about Alex... he was pretty creepy at times, especially near the end, dragging his grandmother's corpse along to a party...

I stopped watching skins because it became unbearably cliché after season three.

I LOVE JJ!! !! ! Reminds me a bit of my brother, only not as interested in computers. And not gay rofl.
I love when tv shows turn Aspies into very cuddly characters, (I mean characters who you would feel comfortable to be around enough to hug, like if they're adorkable) not the ones you'd NEVER want to hug or relate to.

Hmmm...interesting. Shows what you know about Aspies, doesn't it rofl?
