Oh I've seen this before, I think the idea of remaking it was good. But I don't think they have done it right...

I thought the OG Arnie film was utter dogsh*t. This actually looks better and Colin Farrel's great.

Meh. Maybe we'll get a better Blu-Ray release of the original film out of it, but as with most remakes it'll take more than the trailer to impress me.

the original was excellent and tacky sci-fi mega violent fluf.. this is definitely darker, grittier and a lot more serious not to mention probably has next to nothing to do with the original. which begs the question why even bother tring to the remake route

Maybe it's got more in common with Philip K Dick's original story?

Why would anyone want a remake that follows the original too closely? They tried that, and it was a disaster that everyone avoided:

Agreed. Saw In Bruges, and immediately forgave him for all crappy roles he'd played. He was amazing in it.

In Bruges is an underrated gem.

a wonderful movie!

Totally. Even Fright Night. Colin Farrel has matured into a top actor.

Looks rubbish. But I didn't have time to get ready for it.

I don't think he (farrel) will be able to live up to Arnold, no way. And I wish someone would come up with a new idea, just for once please.

I may watch this at home for free someday, but there's no chance I'll pay to watch Colin Farrell in anything. Mediocre acting skills, checkered box office history, and just an overall annoying human being. How does he keep getting lead roles? He must have a very savvy agent.

Like most actors, he's been bad and he's been good. You just have to know where to look. It's easy to say that he sucks based on movies like Daredevil and S.W.A.T., but give something like In Bruges or Tigerland a try and you may come away feeling differently about him.

Don't forget Phone Booth; Colin Farrell was really good playing an a**hole
who gets trapped in a phone booth and framed for murder.

It really saddens me when perfectly good movies get a remake into a tasteless run of the mill flick. Judging by the trailer it looks like something made by Michael Bay :( I believe that the original Total Recall still has a futuristic feel to it, even now so I don't feel there is any need for it. It may look better with new special effects but it can't compare with Arnold as Quaid/Hauser, a three boob'd woman, and of course who could forget Benny! "Hey man, I got five kids to feed!"

It looks good but I'm a little apprehensive about Colin Farrell in the lead roll after the abomination that is Alexander :?
