Batman Beyond

Bruce Wayne as an old man recruits Terry McGinnis, a college student, to be the new Batman.

Years ago, just before Batman Begins, they actually hired a director (Boaz Yakin, Remember the Titans) to make a live-action Batman Beyond film. Word was that they wanted Paul Newman for Bruce Wayne.

They were also developing a Batman: Year One movie to be directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan) and written by Frank Miller, but Miller's script was far too nutty for Warner Brothers. Bruce Wayne was homeless, Alfred was a black mechanic named Big Al, and the Batmobile was a Cadillac. Luckily we didn't have to endure this movie, although we did have to endure Miller's awful and utterly insane All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder.

I feel bad for not watching the show when I was younger, I never understood it because I had no idea who the people were (I had the same problem with Power Rangers) and the opening freaked me out. Thanks to repeats on The Hub channel I do like it alot.

As for the Frank Miller script, this might have been him making a movie so terrible that no one would make it. But then again this is the post-TDKSA Miller so he just might be insane.

Game to movie adaptions that should exist-

Command and Conquer: The movie
(but only if they can get Joe Kucan involved)

Streetfighter: The Movie (Reboot)
(they should make a reboot of the 1994 movie which doesnt suck)

Metal Gear Solid: The movie
do not understand why for the love of god this hasnt been greenlighted

Alien 5.

Bring Sigourney Weaver's Ripley back for one final curtain call. Besides, Resurrection was screaming sequel potential. Unleash an alien infestation on Earth.

Dredd 2
I heard it might happen but due to the movie not doing so well at the box office it might not happen.

The Incredible Hulk 2
A sequel to the 2008 movie and it will be set in the MCU. Mark Ruffalo will take on the roles of Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Choice of villains could be Leader, Absorbing Man, Red Hulk. Never read any Hulk comic books but know these characters from cartoon shows and movies.

Black Panther
Set in the MCU. Villains could either be Klaw or Man-Ape. Know them from the cartoons not comics.

It's probably because it was too violent for some people's sensitive dispositions, or they preferred the god awful Sly Stallone version. Karl Urban punts the Stallone version into oblivion.

Well, its getting a TV series at any rate. Actually follows the son of Eddie Murphy's character from the movies, with Eddie Murphy reprising his role as some sort of recurring guest star I guess.

Also, having recently read Jurassic Park, and currently reading The Lost World. While the original Jurassic Park is still a fantastic movie, it makes a lot of changes from the novel and is 20 years old at this point. I wouldn't mind seeing it remade, follow the book more closely, and bring a whole new generation into that world. That movie is still one of the highlights of my childhood and remains the film I have seen the most times in theaters at 4, soon to be 5 with its 3d Imax release next month. Also a version of The Lost World that doesnt suck would be nice. I would still like to see Steven Spielberg at least be a producer on it, with someone like Guillermo Del Toro(Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth) or Alfonso Cuarón(Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men) directing.

A Where's Waldo movie
{With Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, or Jeremy Renner as Waldo, yes I know it's laughable}

A Carmen SanDiego movie
{Sandra Bullock or Rachel Weisz should be cast as CSD}

I almost wanna say a remake of Zulu would be nice... it just wouldn't be the same.

Kim, by Rudyard Kipling would make a decent film.

And a film series about the life of the Duke of Wellington, both in war and politics would be nice, if they got the right person. Benedict Cumberbatch springs to mind, for some reason. And no, Sharpe did not basically already do this.

I think "The Starlost" from 1973, should be re-made in the next few years. It was an ambitious science fiction series, involved people from "2001: Space Odyssey", such as actor Keir Dullea and producer Douglas Trumbull, and i think it would have become a major science fiction franchise, if it had a better chance.. Unfortunately it was plagued by many production problems, the creator Harlan Ellison left the project, and it was cancelled quickly.. I would rather watch a "New Starlost", than yet another over done "Star Wars" sequel :roll:

The golden compass 2&3 or a remake of the first one so that it's more similar to the books.
