Rising Damp
Good Neighbors
My local PBS had shown Rising Damp maybe twenty or twenty five years ago. I wish they'd bring it back. Leonard Rossiter was terrific as was Frances de la Tour.
That reminds me, Frances de la Tour was also in a miniseries, Flickers, along with Bob Hoskins, which PBS's Masterpiece Theater showed once, more than twenty years ago now. I would like to see that one again also. It was a comedy drama about the rise of the silent movies business in Britain.
And Leonard Rossiter in Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. PBS aired the remake a few years back, but it just wasn't the same. I remember watching the original and laughing so hard I couldn't get my breath.
