there is a horrible type in my above post (which i did not correct in the original post because it would make magmarfire's response look foolish).

the playstation was released in 1994 in japan. meaning, dudley would have had to have acquired his playstation before it was released to the public at all- possibly even a prototype model (not sure of the timeline of these things- would they have had a finished design half a year before the release and the extra time went into packaging and promoting it, or would they still be tweaking things?).

either way, i don't think dudley would have been too happy to own a unit for which no games had been released... which would contribute to his decision to chuck it out the window.
