Netflix is making Little House on the Prairie.

Thought that was already a series .....And the Leading character Michael Landon has been passed on for years now.?

That's neat. I always loved the original series. I started watching the original series a couple years ago.

The Oleson's were always up to something. Nellie being so spiteful and Mrs.Oleson being the town gossip

My mom watched the original series, so I watched the first few seasons too.
My sons have never watched it, to my knowledge, but they read the books in school. The books sound like they were a bit different.
I'm curious what the new series will be like? The old series, or the books?

I can remember the theme tune to it but I never watched it because I used to play out but my sister used to watch it...i can remember

Laura Ingalls Wilder is my ancestor in my dad's side of the family.

I thought Laura Ingalls had no direct descendants. I don't have anyone that famous in my family, the only famous person from my family (not my ancestor though) was some relatively famous writer from my region of Poland, he wrote books on the village he was from and its inhabitants (in one of his short stories there appears the character of no one else but my great great grangfather who was a witch doctor in this village).

I tried to read Laura's books when I was young but I was not too fond of those to tell the truth. I'm a huuuge fan of the TV show with Michael Landon though

I could be wrong but I think they are going to stick to the original story from the books.

I loved Little House on the Prairie and it was popular here in Australia.
I have all the series on DVD.

Oh I hope it will be good.

Actually would love to see the Remake .....Hope it stays with the original story line. ...Never could get to liking the Nellie character ..
