Since Professor T. has been suspended, his lectures are given by Professor Vanderweyden. He will also assist Jasper in solving a tragic family drama, where an eminent oncologist has been killed. Annelies discovers that her father, when he was still clear of mind, wrote an euthanasia application. Rabet tries to change the mind of his son-in-law. Daan takes a decision which has big consequences.
Since last season, Professor Jasper Teerlinck as been struggling with his sanity. Episode 1 saw him in a hospital getting shock treatments. His job as a professor has been given to Professor Vanderweyden. Professor Vanderweyden is depicted as boring and ineffective with the students. The student go to Professor Teerlinck so he can explain to them what they are suppose to learning. The description mentions assisting Jasper with the families deaths (all sitting on a couch, each a different means of death). This is Professor Vanderweyden academic final, which he never too. It is everyone's hope he will fail and Jasper will get his job back. He does not fail and gets the highest praise any "student" as gotten from Jasper. The other student was Annelies Donckers, the detective that originally convince Jasper to help on a case in season 1, episode 2. Professor Vanderweyden keeps his job. Professor Teerlinck must find a way to get his job back.
The human mind plays a big role in this series.
Jasper has OCD, possibly autism, and other psychological issues. He has the most extraordinary visions and hallucinations. His past haunts him in visions.
Annelies Doncker's dad has Alzheimer's, and she cares for him as he slowly forgets who he is over the course of the series.
In episode 3, in a family of four, the son is autistic, and it is discovered that the mother is high functioning autistic.
Watching episode 4. Daan has resigned. When Professor T see his replacement, he imagines a dressed to the T's in a uniform singing In The Navy. It is in Dutch, possibly French. This happens several times. Funny. The last thing that happens, before Professor T leaves the room is look at the guy, then looks down. The guy looks down. He then pulls up his zipper. The guy's name is John.
