Savageland.

Horror movie made to look like a documentary. An undocumented Mexican immigrant, and longtime resident of a small rural Arizona town, is convicted and sentenced to death for the gruesome mass murder of a nearby, mostly Latino town. Pleading innocent, the story he tells is unbelievably insane. An obsessive shutterbug with a camera, the horrific photos he had taken that night were not allowed into evidence, as they are also unbelievable. Examined as well is the preexisting prejudice in the community, law enforcement, and the court system as both sides of the case are interviewed. Finally, the nightmarish pictures he had taken that night are finally revealed - - after he had been executed. And then the horror spreads.
Great small budget horror flick.

Blood and Black Lace (1964)
streamed from Tubi TV
a film by Mario Bava

Good film with suspense, atmosphere, shadows, mannequins, general scary feel, fashion models, and murder.
Italian film dubbed.

I would say it was excellent, and the film making was excellent, but I said it was good because there were parts that did not make a sense. To my surprise, one actor I thought looked like Cameron Mitchell turned out to be Cameron Mitchell. 8O

Tubi TV has automatically cued up another film by Mario Bava called, A Bay of Blood (1971)

I saw on IMDB that it was the Bloody Beginnings of the Summer Camp Slasher

Trailer: A Bay of Blood

A Bay of Blood (1971)

It was okay. Stayed up late to finish watching it. Tubi TV followed it up with another Mario Bava film. I did not watch it.
I learned two things about Mario Bava. He was a cinematographer. He directed Barbara Steele's first horror movie.

Some believe this movie was the inspiration for Friday The 13th.

Last night we watched:

Oblivion [2013]
<=>"Earth is a memory worth fighting for."

Excellent, straightforward, beautiful science fiction.

I read that two of the killings were duplicated shot for shot in Friday The 13th and the first sequel (one killing in each film).

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

First appearance of Mr. Weasley.
This is often on television, and I never watch it all the way through. I watch it on disc tonight, and enjoyed it very much.

M3GAN 2.0
It was pretty good. Definitely more action/scifi than scifi/horror though.

Spring.

After losing his mother and his job, a young American, who feels his life is going nowhere, decides to travel to Italy. There, he falls in love with a beautiful and mysterious genetics student. But she has a horrifying secret about to come to fruition with the Spring.
Very highly recommended horror film.

Exhibit A.

Australian found footage horror film, in which the teen age daughter in a seemingly happy family records everything on her video camera. But soon, she discovers from her own surveillance that something is terribly wrong with her father.
Pretty decent low budget horror flick.
