Dita is an adorable character - esp the way she insists on calling Hibiki "Mr Alien". Keep watching - the 2nd half is just as good, as is the ending.

If you like Vandread, you'd probably like Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure, and the assorted Tenchi series'. They have a similar vibe. Sci-fi isekai mecha aventures, with some fun and silly mixed in.

Should've clarified that I'm halfway through the first season. ^^; But yeah, it is quite adorable. And I really should get back to it soon.

Haven't seen Trouble Adventure yet, but the first Ryo-Ohki OVA I've seen almost all the way through to the end (I've gotten as far as the episode where Mihoshi is first introduced and I think I've seen the fifth episode but I don't remember if I have; it's not committed to memory as well as the first four episodes).

I wasn't sure how far you'd actually gotten into Vandread specifically, so I also specifically avoided any spoilers - esp cos I can't really remember what happened when.

Mihoshi's another good character who's a funny combo of cuteness and strength.

Ryo-Ohki OVA 1 Ep 5 is where the excitement ramps up.

I've heard a lot of good things about Berzerk. Is it as good as the hype?

I enjoyed it.

Did you mean Miura's manga? No, I haven't read that yet, but I'm definitely interested in it. It's been on my radar for a while now.

It's a shame he's dead now...

It's actually the 1997 anime adaptation I had in mind, based on that manga.

I didn't realize it was that old.

Haven't seen the 1997 adaptation at all, but I'm sure it has to be better than the 2016 adaptation by a country mile... Should probably whet my appetite on that adaptation before I spring for the original manga and see how I feel about it.

Also decided to start taking a peek at Ah! My Goddess. It seems to be a pretty cute series too.

Ah! My Goddess, was short, but fun.
