In Poland was know as "Zwariowany Świat Maclcolma: Malcolm Crazy World" i very liked this series but i don't liked the series finale last episode.

Where protagonist Malcolm accept will of his family despite that they screw him all over. Which renumber me ending of Orwell's "1984".

I still watch that show with kids when we stumble across it. I never did see the last couple of seasons, except for and episode here and there 5 years later. Sounds like maybe I need to look it up and watch the last little bit.

BTW, Dewey was my favorite character. I loved the way he was able to manipulate the family, even when they knew he was doing it. One of my favorite episodes was when he built the piano/organ from junk laying around the house.

I much enjoy Malcolm in The Middle, and also the newer show The Middle.

In The Middle, the youngest child Brick seems to be such a little Aspie - he is fun to watch.

I liked season one, but it went downhill after that.

I also liked the show in general and disliked the ending. The speech Malcolm's mother gave him just infuriated me. But then she was always giving infuriating speeches. My daughter disliked the show because the parents disturbed her. She found it scary that a Dad could be so reckless- unlike her own very responsible Dad- and that a Mom could strive to undermine her children- unlike me who strives to be supportive. I assured her that I wouldn't be taking any parenting ideas from the show.

Malcolm at least did go to Harvard in the last episode. But inexplicably Reese became a janitor. This after spending many, many episodes showing his savant cooking skills. Why on earth wouldn't he go work in a restaurant?

I did not like the ending. His family wanted to control his whole life, I am surprised that he did not try to commit suicide, but such turn of events would rather not passed in the family series :D

I remember it fondly, and consider it to have been one of the funniest shows on TV. Plus, had Bryan Cranston not gained face time as Hal on the show, he might never have been cast in the role of his life time - - as Walter White, AKA, Heisenberg, in Breaking Bad.

For Kraichgauer, and alternate ending for Breaking Bad. Ties nicely into this thread.

I did too the first time I saw it. It was nice to see Bryan Cranston playing Hal again, and he did it so well.

I love the show, and in fact just caught a rerun of it on TV this morning. It was great because Malcom was so relatable. My favorite character changed over time but for most of the series it was Hal. He could be so hilarious!
