I liked "An American Werewolf in London".A bit gory in a few parts but interesting and some times humorous.

"The Silver Bullet" was, I believe, Steven King, but I found myself laughing the whole time. So if you want to see a movie with horrible special effects, this is the one to see!

"Underworld," but it also has vampires. Some people HATE this movie but others like it.

American Werewolf in London
Wolf
Dog Soldiers (I haven't seen this personally, but I hear it's good)

Dog Soldiers. Gory, with some excellent black humour, and a fairly spooky plot.

I love this movie!

Ginger Snaps and Ginger Snaps Back are good too.I didn't care for the prequel.

...Oh yeah and if you do watch "wolf" for the first time, watch out for Prunella Scales (Sybil from "Fawlty Towers") and David Schwimmer (Ross from "Friends") in an early role.

I'll second An American Werewolf in London, The Wolf Man and Ginger Snaps (which I just saw for the first time a few weeks ago).

The Howling is one of my favourites as well, though stay away from the sequels. They're notoriously awful!

*oops,wrong title:"Ginger Snaps 2:Unleashed" is the better,imho.I didn't care for "..Snaps Back"

The character of Ghost in "Unleashed" could be considered somewhat Aspie.Somewhat....

Balto's a cool wolf-related movie but I'm not big of werewolf movies. However, I do love The Lost Boys which is a hilarious 80's vampire movie.
