Doctor Who moments and quotes...
The moment in the modern Dr Who when a Dalek tells the Doctor "You would make a good dalek".
The doctor had been showing some rare emotion, he had been verbally abusing the dalek.

I am not a jigsaw, I am a free man ! Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.
Some of my favourites (as a long-term fan)...
The Seventh Doctor and Ace had real chemistry. Especially in 'Remembrance of the Daleks': "Ace! Give me some of that nitro-9 that you're not carrying!" And of course, the Seventh Doctor's closing speech in 'Survival'.
I miss the second Ninth Doctor - the first being Rowan Atkinson, in the Comic Relief special 'Curse of Fatal Death'. The actor who played the Tenth Doctor in that sketch was also the second Ninth Doctor, and one of only two actors I can think of who've played the same role in two different continuities - the other being Derek Jacobi, who was briefly the Master in "Utopia", but also played the robot Master in 'Scream of the Shalka'. In which we also met the second Ninth Doctor (Eccleston being the third) - Richard E. Grant! It might not have taken off, but that was a pretty good animated webcast. Paul Cornell's writing seems to have bled over into the new series a little.
(Okay, that one was a little circuitous. Let's try something shorter for the next one.)
And finally, for this post... Tegan's departure at the end of 'Resurrection of the Daleks'.

I hate trawling back through old threads, so I thought I'd summarize... I think we need a lot more Jon Pertwee Moments..
(and *any* McGann moments).
1. William Hartnell
His famous Susan Departure speech - and closing the door on her...
Other cool lines in Daleks Invasion Earth - "hmmm - I can see that somethings cooking"
"Susan, go and look at the fornicator"
The Web Planet, with William 'Ian Chesterton' Russel looking meaningfully at Hartnell and the ring, before Hartnell plumps for 'This is not merely a decorative object'. *Facepalm.*
and calling "Mavic Chen" "Magic Chen"
2. Patrick Troughton
Patrick Troughton is fighting the foam in the seeds of death
The Invasion where the Doctor is running away from Cybermen, who are firing at him. One of the blasts must've caught him on the arse, as he is clutching it as explosions occur around him
that rather bizarre moment when the Tardis explodes and the console goes spinning out into space on its own - in the Mind Robber.
when Victoria is too scared to enter the Tomb of the Cybermen so the Doctor and Jamie (unknowingly) grab eachother's hands and start walking in together.
Some great sarcasm with the Doctor secretly flipping switches and talking about how he loves to watch an expert at work...
'Keeping my eyes open, and my mouth shut!'
the doctor's speech to Victoria about how his sadness over his family has faded and hers will too...
the cybermats on the runway ..
"The Mind Robber", where, in Episode 4, Zoe takes on and successfully defeats The Karkus in a judo match.
DOCTOR: Yes, but I've hardly had time to follow the strip cartoons. / ZOE: Well, you'd better start following this one; he's halfway up the mountain!
the loony cyberman in the Invasion
the cyber-controller in Tomb.
Moonbase: "There are some corners of the universe that have bred the most terrible things. Things which act against everything that we believe in. They must be fought!"
3. Jon Pertwee
Shoes (Spearhead from Space)
4. Tom Baker
Doctor first met Leela and her tribe or whatever thought that he was some kind of cannibal because he offered them jelly babies.
Captain : "Devil-storms, Doctor... It is not a toy!"
"its the end , but the moment has been prepared for . . "
what? are we going to interfere?" and Tom Baker replies"Interfere?!? of course we're going to interfere, always do what you're best at."
"You're just making it up as you go, aren't you?" / "Yep. But I do it brilliantly!"
Davros: 'Yes. Yes. To hold in my hand, a capsule that contained such power. To know that life and death on such a scale was my choice. To know that the tiny pressure on my thumb, enough to break the glass, would end everything. Yes. I would do it. That power would set me up above the gods. And through the Daleks I shall have that power!'
Doctor: 'If someone who knew the future, pointed out a child to you and told you that that child would grow up totally evil, to be a ruthless dictator who would destroy millions of lives... could you then kill that child?'
Anything on Gallifrey.
Brain of Morbuis
Talons of Weing Chiang
"Earth is not my home, Sarah. I don't know if you realize what that means. I am a Time Lord. I am not a human being. I walk in Eternity."
"Genesis of the Daleks" with Davros screaming "You! Will! Tell! Me! YOU! WILL! TELL! ME!"
Doctor offering Davros a jelly-baby,
Davros's reaction to hearing about the Daleks losing the Movellan War,
*puts hands on hips and speaks in a South African accent* There will be NO gold! Voga is to be UTTERLY destroyed!
HARRY SULLIVAN IS AN IMBECILE!! !
5. Peter Davison
Sharaz Jek : "You have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes... But your eyes... they tell a different story."
I loved the cyber-revival in Earthshock
6. Colin Baker
I also rather liked how the second doctor was telling jamie to sit back and admire his diplomatic skills.
Two doctors when the doctor is turned into a part androgum and he and Shockeye of the Quawncing Grig go off in search of the local eatery
end of part 2 of "Attack of the Cybermen": CYBERLEADER: "Destroy her! Destroy her AT ONCE!"

his explanation of his activities as the Great Healer, "SHUT THE FOOL UP!"...
7. Sylvester McCoy
Rem - "Ace! Give me some of that nitro-9 that you're not carrying!
Doctor: Oh, Davros. I am far more than just another Time Lord.
Doctor: Ooh, wonderful, what power, what brilliance! You can wipe out the odd civilisation, and enslave the occasional culture, but it still won't detract from the fundamental truth of your own impotence!
The Sylvester McCoy series of episodes called "happiness patrol" all of it.
Paradise Towers was also a top notch story
Surv - Closing Speech
Silver Nemesis
Ghost Light
Curse of Fenric
8. Paul McGann
8.5 "Missing Doctors"
'Scream of the Shalka'
9. Christopher Eccleston
Lots of planets have a north!
Dal - "You would make a good dalek".
Rose. Before I go, I just wanted to say you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic! And you know what? So was I.

"Information. You are all going to die"
The Doctor: You two! We're at the end of the Universe. Right at the edge of knowledge itself.
"the Beast and his armies shall rise from the Pit to make war against God."
Have you ever wondered what happens when you put two sonic devices next to each over?
"He's speaking Celtic"
Jack Harkness: "Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks 'hmm, that could be a bit more sonic'?"
The Doctor (explaining a perception filter to Martha): It's like when you fancy someone and they don't even know you exist!
"I'm the Doctor and you're in the biggest library in the universe...look me up!"
Girl in the Fireplace
Human Nature / Family of Blood
The part in The Fires of Pompeii where Lucius and Evelina Caecilia compete with prophecies.
The Odd episodes
The flashbacks to Gallifrey, with the eight-year old Master and the Untempered Schism.
The Cult of Skaro.
This quote was missed -
I've only seen the first of the new series, and haven't seen either recently as MPT (Maryland Public Television) seems to have stopped showing both the new series and the old. I've seen pretty much all the old since the Third Doctor - minus any lost episodes of course. I could probably watch the rest of the newer series on BBC America or the SCI-FI channel, but I prefer to see them in order and haven't attempted to jump in.
Survival (one of my favorite episodes) was suppose to have a "lesbian subtext". I think this would have be over the top as well.
The new series should be made up of mostly two part episodes, with a few three parters, and very few (if any) single part episodes. The current format of mostly one episode to a story makes things rushed and doesn't allow the story to get in as deep.
I am so glad this thread was started. Doctor Who is so much a part of me. I literally grew up with it. I lived in England as a toddler, and moved to the states and had to rediscover this show on PBS. Ever since Tom Baker, I've been hooked. It's as much a part of me as my own heart and soul. It's what brought my husband and I together. We literally met in a Doctor Who chat room on AOL, when Richard was using his Atari computer emulating a MAC.
Anyway, favorite moment was at the end of Survival.
"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea is asleep, and the rivers dream. People made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace; we've got work to do!"
I love that. I even used to have it on a Doctor Who poster from my Doctor Who Monthly. Sad that my Doctor Who collection is gone. We were moving to my Dad's house, and well....some of our stuff had to go. I am kicking myself to this day at what I did. There are just some things in life you should never get rid of. But in the end I considered it just material things, and those can be replaced. Well...some Doctor Who things cannot be replaced. Even my Dapol Doctor Who TARDIS set. Beautiful thing that was. The prize of my collection. I used to turn on the battery-operated TARDIS light, and imagine myself on the TARDIS, traveling to other worlds with the Doctor. My husband and I still imagine that.
Well, we're away from my Dad and his wife, having started a new life. Long story on our troubles, and no place to post those here. Let's just say we don't see eye-to-eye, especially on Aspie matters.
CYBERLEADER: "Destroy her! Destroy her AT ONCE!"
PERI: "No, no, NOOOOO!! !"
ME: "Yes, yes, YES!! !"
Too bad they didn't actually kill her.
But then you gotta wonder - who had the loudest scream? Peri or Mel?
Anyway, it was a mistake on their part to have Peri with an American accent. Who decided that anyway? It made her sound so whiny! I can see why Colin Baker's Doctor nearly choked her to death at the beginning of the Twin Dilemma. He just knew she was going to be annoying.
I see what you mean... Mel emitted a noise that could shatter Dalekanium. Honestly, I cannot figure out which one I hated more... but at least Mel didn't stick around very long.
Peri sounded like how the British THINK we sound like.
LOL
That's not fair!

Well...I guess I'm of a rare number of Sci Fi nerds who met their spouses via their favorite television show. Or, as far as I know, the only one so far. Then again, that's not true, because through the Star Trek group that my husband was once a part of there are quite a few couples who met through the group and married.
Victoria.... she could kill seaweed with her screams.
Victoria.... she could kill seaweed with her screams.
Yeeeaarrrghble! I was going to say Victoria for that reason.
Why? Well, I love the sequence that comes up 30 seconds into this video... ([badsinging]Halitosis is dangerous, it brings on many changes, but you cannot take or leave it as you please[/badsinging])

I loved The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. My only complaint about Mags (the girl in question) was that the werewolf version looked so naff.

On sabbatical...
I only wish that they'd at least release Evil of the Daleks and Fury from the Deep on DVD in Cartoon Style (like they did with the Invasion). The soundtracks I've heard of these (and Power of the Daleks too) are brilliant.
and now so Jon Pertwee Quotes and moments since he has been so under-represented so far...
Pretty much any scene where Jon Pertwee talks to (or about) a politician.
Speaking Chinese - Mind of Evil
Inferno.. particularly any eyepatch wearing Brigadier scenes.
Jo Grant's initial scenes.
The Dummies coming out of of the shop windows. - Spearhead from Space
Chap with Wings, five rounds rapid. - The Daemons
The Devil Doll - Terror of the Autons
Talking to the giant... ..... erm ... Alpha Centuri - Both Peladon Stories.
The Ice warriors coming through the door - Monster of Peladon (one of my scary moments as a kid)
The machine gun firing daleks (and their tardis test model) - Death to the Daleks.
Jon being wrapped by auto devices, the phone and the tentacle... (amazing facial expressions).
Jon in any disguises (eg: Cleaning lady and Milkman from the Green Death).
Planet of the Spiders: Venusian Karate...
Planet of the Spiders: "Is that fear I sense in your mind.... "etc.. any scenes with the Great one or the Abbott.
