I have to say too they're real good. I also think a good music score like that of John Barry makes a huge difference when it comes to the tone and feel for the movie in many ways.

Le Grande Voyage
I shed tears whilst watching 'The Painted Veil', but I'd not consider it depressing, as it didn't stick with me, once the film was over. My other two choices did.

Thank you, I'm not the only one hwo who Thinks Jin Roh is depressign in a good story way I don't cry but the endign always gives me chills no matter how many times I see it. Also been looking for Battle royale for a while now.

Where the Heart Is: I happened to watch this movie that my mom liked for about five minutes and it was very, very depressing. The woman that was the main character had a friend that was being abused by her boyfriend, also, she had a boyfriend that caused her to become pregnant and left her when she was in labor so she ended up having to have the baby in a Wal-Mart and there were a lot of other depressing things that happened to her throughout the movie until the end of it...I wish I hadn't watched it at all.
