It reminds me of how satirical websites that used to have some comedic value and creativity (Encyclopedia Dramatica, etc) are now nothing more than the same handful of insults repeated endlessly. It's not even worth being insulted over.

To be fair a good many people aren't even attempting to be funny (except to themselves), they're just the teen and adult versions of that kid in grade school who called everyone a doo-doo head and stuck their boogers on other people's stuff. Nothing brings those people to the surface more than people doing things that are unexpected but in no way affect them or their lives, because goodness forbid they get that energy out doing something useful or garner attention by doing something worthwhile instead.

"Still going" is a nice way to put Encyclopedia Dramatica's state. There's no reason to go there when you can just go to SomethingAwful or Cracked.com. They cross some lines now and then, but typically know how to wrench a few laughs out of what they do, too.

Bronies are a large part of the subculture proportionately speaking for autistics, but they are not a majority of the fans. I think people just want to insult autism a little more by tagging it to something else with a strong social stigma.

Man, I have changed my mind a lot on bronies over the past few months. This might be the best fandom ever, it improved on joke metal and Monty Python even.
