National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Comedy Central usually shows em going to Wally World instead. Nice change

That's funny, but National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon is the best National Lampoon film ever, though.

I watched pleasantville on sunday.

Its about a boy that has an obsession with an old tv show where everything is pleasant until he and his sister end up inside the show and everything begins to change.

It was released in 1998 but its mostly filmed in b/w.

Reese witherspoon and Tobey Maguire(the guy that played peter parker on Spiderman films) play the main characters.

I liked the movie, even though I dont usually like b/w films.

I saw that ages ago, great film.

That's a pretty interesting movie.

American Gangster (2007)

Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe star in Ridley Scott's modern masterpiece of greed and betrayal. Washington is Frank Lucas, a Harlem drug kingpin in the late 1960's and 1970's who makes millions and millions of dollars exporting Heroin direct from South East Asia during the Vietnam War, using the US military as his way of smuggling the drugs back into the United States. Crowe is Richie Roberts, a detective who heads a small police team in New Jersey. His team has been assigned to investigate bigger gangsters, including that of the Lucchese Crime Family and later, Frank Lucas.

As the movie progresses, things increasingly come to a head as both Lucas and Roberts pile things on in their own sphere's of influence, concluding in these two enemies coming face to face after Lucas's empire is dismantled, leading to a shocking outcome. Cuba Gooding Jr (Nicky Barnes) also provides a good take on Lucas's rival who delights in causing friction as well as being too flashy and Clarence Williams III (Bumpy Johnson) is the former Harlem kingpin and Lucas's mentor from the old days. Overall, a great movie, truly a new Goodfellas for any mob fan to get excited about. 9/10.

Right now I am watching my favorite movie at the moment: Desperado!
I love the whole trilogy, and almost everything by Robert Rodriguez.

I just finished Best Worst Movie, a documrntary about Troll 2, largely considered the worst movie of all time. I think any fan of Troll 2 will get a kick out of this.

I've been watching european movies, for example Dardenne's brothers movies like "La promesse", "Rosetta".
They are very realistic, tough stories, but open our mind about the reality, I like this kind of movies.

Watched The Experiment yesterday. It's a remake of a German film and is loosely based on the Stanford Prison Experiment. Very interesting film, and scary when you remember that similar things happened in the real life experiment.

Finally saw Cloverfield. I think this camera in the movie is getting real tired. Sure, it was original 10 years ago, but it does nothing to add to the scare factor and frankly gets annoying. Maybe, it is time they do a movie from the vantage point of the monster. That would be much better in my opinion.

I saw Cloverfield and liked it. The whole skakey camera thing worked for me because it set up the mood of the movie. But a part of me thought it was silly that the guy was always holding a camera when his life was in danger. Would you have your camera on if the city was attacked by a huge monster? I don't think so. This was all taken the mick out of in a two part episode of South park where Randy kept waving his camera around and Sharon was getting so pissed off.
