Yes it is, it is the female version of Meowstic and it is adorable. I think unconsciously I thought that it looked like AoT's Mikasa due to a similar facial expression and looking like it has a scarf.
Its first form, Espurr is also a cutie, that is unless you think it looks like a certain anime character.

I am about to watch this week's Non Non Biyori, so I expect some moe.

Also, dumb question but why are anime with little girls going to school (ala Non Non Biyori) so popular on here? Not saying it's bad or anything, I'm just curious...

Because it is moe!

Non Non Biyori is absolutely adorable, a recent episode had a very funny line to do with watermelons.

Thanks, Bradleigh, for the clarification, I appreciate that. I guess I'm the odd one out who doesn't really care for (what I perceive as) one-dimensional girls in anime (though, I'm rather surprised no one's mentioned that Kill la Kill thing Trigger's recently released)

Moving on, Gingitsune's fifth episode turned into quite the unexpected heart-tweaking drama so I'm very glad a friend of mine cajoled me into watching it with him. And I'm now slightly curious about the upcoming Space Dandy, especially as Funimation's gone out of its way to secure the Western rights to it and in fact air it on Toonami - maybe they're betting on Shinchiro Watanabe's fame from Cowboy Bebop or something? Curiouser and curiouser...

Strangely I don't really like Kill la Kill as much as most people have, I have either had a dislike or indifference to a number of parts. The ecchi moments being one reason why, which by itself might look odd with what else I watch.

I'm watching Kill La Kill. Every once in awhile an anime comes along that makes me feel excited to be an anime fan again, and this is one of them. On paper, it sounds like the kind of show that I'd normally hate watching, with its loads of ecchi (when I described the plot to my brother, he said "it sounds like something a highschool boy would come up with"). But for some reason, the way it is executed leaves my jaw on the floor nearly every time I watch it (especially the action). I adore the main character Ryuko because she talks and fights like a guy, and yet has a heart of gold.

Another anime I'm currently into is the most recent adaptation of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I'm only two episodes into it, but I'm already addicted to it. It kinda reminds me of Kill La Kill in that it's so over-the-top that it crosses the line from "ridiculous" to "genius", and the fight scenes leave me on the edge of my seat. I'm also drawn in by the kindhearted hero, Jonathan Joestar. I'm almost sad that he's not the main character in the other story arcs (correct me if I'm wrong but don't the other arcs focus on his descendants?) At any rate, I'm really happy that they're adapting the 3rd arc next year and I look forward to seeing it. I hope that if Kill La Kill does well, they'll make a second season for it too. ^^

I just watched The Garden of Words. A beautiful story, beautifully drawn. It's a short feature, about 45 minutes.

Second season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has now been confirmed to air in 2014!
You can catch up on Season 1 fansubbed by clicking HERE or HERE in the meantime.

If you like violent action manga/anime, this is one of the most famous ones in Japan, and my personal absolute favorite manga series of all-time. :thumleft:

The second season of Attack on Titan doesn't physically exist because the anime literally stopped three chapters behind the manga (at the time the series finale aired in Japan). It's going to be a long wait but I'd rather Wit Studio wait for Hajime Isayama to tell the story at his pace so they can adapt it without resorting to filler or Naruto-style flashbacks (I gave up on Shippuden because of that).

Don't forget that Wit Studio is a relatively young studio (formed just last year) and even with Production I.G's support, they had to resort for calling in for more animators at one point: http://www.crunchyroll.co.uk/anime-news ... -animators

Anyway, speaking of Shippuden, I got an interesting heads up for fans: http://www.crunchyroll.co.uk/anime-news ... in-january

Too bad for people following the uncut dub of the first series because there's still about three months of material before the filler starts. At any rate, I don't know whether this means that Disney have given up the ghost and relinquished it rights after its ill-fated broadcast of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, or whether Toonami will only be allowed to play episodes as long as they stay x-number of episodes away from the point Disney are broadcasting them (if that's still the case, I really don't know what's going on with Disney's animation practises anymore).

But there you go. Seems Toonami are upping their game considerably with new content; the recent Sword Art Online, the upcoming Space Dandy and now this - who knows, maybe they'll win the rights to air Attack on Titan as soon as Funimation are finished dubbing it (in-production at the moment). Make what you will.

Sword Art Online seems to be dominating my mind. That, and K-On!

There's actually 8 parts to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga currently (and still going). Season 1 of the anime covers the manga's Part 1 (Phantom Blood) and Part 2 (Battle Tendency). Since Part 1 and 2 are the shortest manga parts by far, it seems safe to say that the rest of the parts will get their own full season each. Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) is the most well known part, because it introduced the legendary "Stands" that have made the series famous and remained as the central focus of the story ever since. So it will be even more exciting to see next season onward. :)

For anyone wanting to see a sort of general "preview" of the series without seeing any real spoilers, check out this video for the PS3 JoJo fighting game that was recently made (skip ahead to the 50 second mark if you want to bypass the guys acting stupid at the start).

Why wait for episodes 2 years old when you can watch all the up to date episodes for free? 8) http://www.anime44.com/category/naruto_shippuden here you go all subs no dubs though!

Touché.

What I should've said is, a heads up for dub-watcher fans, so that serves me right for not being specific enough. Some friends of mine hate reading subtitles and are far more comfortable with English voice-acting. I myself didn't really care for dubs but admittedly Funimation, Aniplex USA, Studiopolis and Sentai Filmworks have really upped their voice-acting quality in recent years (Viz Media are still kind of iffy.)

Though as a disclaimer, I do say please do support the official licensed products as they're made available in your country (specifically in the US, though thanks to Manga UK, we're finally playing catch up; can't wait for my Wolf Children DVD come the New Year).

Moving along, though I don't care for Bleach, I was rather stunned to learn what Studio Pierrot has done: http://edas88.hubpages.com/hub/Will-Ble ... n-and-When True, the news originally broke out in July; I only found out what happened now because Kubo had finally begun working on ending the manga after a 5-week hiatus and I was looking up something for a friend of mine who follows the series at Toonami's pace. Anyway, perhaps Pierrot are simply going to do what Sunrise did with Inuyasha and rush out an ending after the manga's done? It's not uncommon these days for anime adapted from manga to suddenly take a break and then pick up later; A-1 Pictures have done this with Fairy Tail, Magi and Silver Spoon and arguably speaking, Studio WIT are hopefully doing the same thing with Attack on Titan?

That said, what happened does partially explain why suddenly Pierrot were animating Legend of Korra Book 2 (only then to be unceremoniously dropped according Studio MIR: http://avatarthelegendofkorraonline.com ... rety/3871/ - I've never known Pierrot to work on a series foreign to Japan before) and some toyetic thing called Gaist Crushers (based on an upcoming 3DS game in Japan - no idea if Capcom have international plans for it). I wonder if what happened to Bleach might end up happening to Naruto Shippuden, especially as Kishimoto confirmed earlier this year he'll be planning to end his manga too...

Make of that what you will.

And finally, I just started watching Shigofumi,, an uncharacteristic departure from J.C. Staff's usual rhetoric (Shakugan no Shana exempted). But two episodes in and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a heart-pounding drama, sort of like a more aggressive answer to Mushi-shi (in terms of vignette stories, only this deals with the titular 'letters from the departed'). I love it when anime examines human motives but that's just me.
