A fictional character in a suit from one of my very, very favorite movies:

Klaatu
played by Michael Rennie
in a stolen suit he's an outer space alien and hadn't packed one of his own in his flying saucer
in The Day the Earth Stood Still [1951]

I would suggest from the point of view that since one does not know him personally, the David Beckham we know is a fictional character. We only know him from stories presented about him and observation of him at work. As long as he is not a friend or family, I would think that almost anyone present in a suit could, maybe, be considered fictional. The impression of him is, maybe, a reflection of what we see or know of him.
For instance, I posted Lon Chaney. He really existed at one time, but he is now a story of a great character actor from the early days of films. :)
That may be stretching "fictional" a bit thin.
Does this make sense? If not, I won't take it personally.
Still, here is Lon Chaney as a fictional character. I would suggest David Beckham at a public event is a fictionalized version of himself. Again... :0

After I retired, I splurged and bought the complete series on DVD. The case looks like a coffin. There are a LOT of DVDs in the set.

From Astrid, season 3, episode 8 - Underground
It's a double whammy.
The dead homeless guy is a fictional character (whammy 1), who has been dressed in a nice suit, creating a secondary fictional character (whammy 2) that will attract L'attention de la police. Oui.

The close caption is just that, English translation from French. It is not meme text.

Bela Lugosi from The Black Cat
I purposefully avoid the obvious Bela Lugosi in a suit picture. (Dracula)
(still, in an era when so many men wore suits)
