Death Wish (2018 version)

I saw the original back in ‘74. No way it could live up to the original because in ‘74 the idea of a private citizen vigilante revenge flick was fairly new and controversial. By now this film is just yet another poor attempt at redoing the original. Yes it is still controversial but everything is controversial these days and this controversy has been argued for 50 years now.

I thought the character was too mellow for Bruce Willis.

The film might provide you with a couple of hours of non thinking escapism if you need that but otherwise skip it.

The film industry has turned into a group of hacks. Everything is a remake or reboot of something these days whether it's bringing back Full House and Roseanne on TV, or Star Wars/Trek and comic book blockbusters. I have to think it's corporate driven top-down, there are too many creative people in the industry at lower levels to not have anything original, unless they are tasked with doing things unoriginal.

Miss Congeniality.
It was better than I thought it would be. I like Sandra Bullock. I think she is just a good person and relatable.

The Boy.

A boy living with his hotel owner father in the middle of nowhere finds an outlet for his destructive, psychopathic tendencies. For good, dark psychological horror movie.
