beyond the candelabra (free with amazon prime). my husband wanted to be liberace when he grew up. liberace was brilliant, generally, as a pianist, and as a showman. what a shame he had to hide who he was!

"Edge Of Darkness" with Mel Gibson.

I didn't think I'd seen this before, but five minutes in, I realized I did years ago. I looked at it all the way through anyway because I may have been drunk the first time I saw it and didn't remember the details anyway. Plus, with my new 55 inch TV, even old movies look brand new and better.

I thought "Edge" was okay, not one of Mel's best, but a decent way to spend the night.

Back in my college days, I had taken a class called Writing For The Screen, where a large part of the class had been watching various movies and a particular TV show. The TV show in question happened to have been the British TV series of the same name, Edge Of Darkness, which we watched episodically. At the time, I rather enjoyed the series. I've always wanted to see the American movie version.

The sci-fi love story "Zoe" starring Ewan McGregor. I found it fairly interesting and a bit thought-provoking too while I watched it. I liked the main character Zoe and even though the movie is calm and slow paced she kept my interest. Yet I found the beginning of the film more engaging than the last part.

Incredibles 2 is lit, possibly better than the first in terms of visuals although not so much the villain

In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-Wai. I highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet. Great writing and beautiful cinematography. I'd say it's his best film.
