"Satan's Slaves" - Indonesian attempt at supernatural horror. Because it was from ultra-religious Indonesia, there was the obbligato "Islam is your savior" motif throughout. The blood-letting was minimal and there was no profanity. Critics consider it the apex of Indonesian horror, but really, it was just a poor man's "Exorcist" or "Poltergeist."

I watched The Beguiled twice, yesterday and today. First time around I felt disapointed in the film. Then I read more about it and learned that there was a version of it made in 1971 starring Clint Eastwodd as the wounded soldier entering the girl school.
Originally this is a novel by the author Thomas P. Cullinan and Sofia Coppola made her version of it in the movie I have just seen.





After reading about the movie I had to ask myself if I was the one missing something. Did I overlook the different situations the characters in the movie was in? And that caused me to get confused about their actions? So I watched it a second time paying closer attention to each character and what their situation was and how they dealt with it. It became more interesting right away.

Nicole Kidman is one of my favourite actresses. Her character was the hardest for me to interpret in the movie. She seemed a bit like she was above all the drama, only trying to keep the others and the hole thing under control. But maybe she wasn`t? As I understand it there was more to her than this movie showed.

All in all the movie came across to me as a drama rather than a thriller. But it gave me an experience I appreciate though it took me some work

Party Bus To Hell.

You know those movies that are so bad that they're good? Well, if you have enough beer... This is definitely one of them. A bus filled with partiers on their way to Burning Man gets hijacked by demon worshippers in order to transform a virgin on the bus into their Chosen One. Terrible but fun! Lots of half naked hot chicks!
