Big disappointment. I was expecting something better than the original film adaption, but got something that followed the book even less. At least the original stayed loyal to the source material.

That is disappointing.

It is. I had had high hopes for this movie.

The Proposition

A very bloody, very brutal, very violent Western set in the Australian Outback...and I liked it! :)

(And I am not even a fan of Westerns! )

I'm about to watch JAWS and The Breakfast Club.

I'm not sure which to watch first.

I saw JAWS in the theater in 1975. I didn't see The Breakfast Club until much later than 1985.

I texted my brother today and he confirms I saw it with him in the cinema in 1975.
I remember seeing it, but I couldn't recall who I was with. I think I saw BC when it was first released.

I was never a fan of the JAWS movies because of the bad reputation they gave sharks for many years.

I mean yeah, sharks can be dangerous. But humans are even more dangerous than sharks. :|

And as for Pumpkinhead, I liked the evil old witchy woman living in the swamp who summoned the demon monster. She had such a badass-looking house! Perfect for a dark witch!

:skull: 8)

I saw it with my mother's boyfriend.

We went to Burger King afterwards. I thought it was a big deal to be taken to Burger King LOL

I grew up so poor that going to burger king or picking up a pizza meant that we were celebrating a special occassion.

It was a special occasion for me----let me tell you!

I didn't like the guy....but I liked the Whopper LOL

When my father used to take me to Kentucky Fried Chicken, I thought I was on top of the world LOL

When I was a kid in the 1960s, we used to go to this restaurant once a year. It was in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.....right by a waterway where boats stop to sell fish. I went there once in the 1990s--but it closed soon after.

I'm starting The Breakfast Club now, if anyone wants to weigh in on that.

I felt like an Ally but dressed like a Claire.

I really wasn't like any of the kids. Maybe somewhat close to that blond-headed nerdy guy.

There were some Molly Ringwald types in my high school; I felt like they were "not in my league."

Lol some of my best memories as a little boy were playing with the cheap little plastic toys I'd get from McDonalds or Burger King. 8)

We were always broke but life was good. :) Now we are just plain broke.

Anywho i'm streaming a slasher movie called "Valentines". A geeky boy who was bullied in middle school grows up to be a serial killer wearing a cupid's mask.

Edit: I also remember a raccoon that used to hang out in the trees behind the burger king in my town. 8)
