The Proposition

A very bloody, very brutal, very violent Western set in the Australian Outback...and I liked it! :)

(And I am not even a fan of Westerns! )

I liked it, too.

I really wasn't like any of the kids. Maybe somewhat close to that blond-headed nerdy guy.

There were some Molly Ringwald types in my high school; I felt like they were "not in my league."

I just finished Breakfast Club. It really was quite brilliant, wasn't it?
I don't like that the "nerdy guy" ends up alone at the end. He was my favourite of the guys.

Time for JAWS!

The Killer Shrews.

Absolutely poorly made B grade scifi/horror 1950's film concerning mutated, dog sized shrews terrorizing their makers and a sea captain on a tiny island during a hurricane. The hero sea captain is played by a young Roscoe P. Coltrane of Dukes Of Hazard fame.

Sushi Girl.

An ex con, released from prison after six years, attends a get together with his former partners in crime who believe he has possession of diamonds the gang had stolen but had disappeared. Soon, it turns into a bloody torture fest. Soon forgotten is the silent, naked young woman, who sushi had been eaten off of, who has a secret. Stars Tony Todd and Mark Hamill.
Very disturbing crime movie. It was great!

I've seen this through the eyes of Mystery Science Theater 3000. I found it funny. The cowardly guy is played by Ken Curtis, the actor who played Festus on Gunsmoke.

Enduring Love

A Hitchcockian psychological thriller starring Daniel Craig (a few years before he began his tenure as James Bond) as a normal man who unexpectedly becomes the target of a stalker (played by Rhys Ifans) who believes the protagonist (played by Craig) is in love with him after they meet in the aftermath of a freak accident.

A very interesting film about the darker side of love. Well worth a watch.
