god, what a sad story. :(

aspies [at least those similar to myself] need to SEE THIS FILM

That's my most favorite documentary. Henry Darger is my favorite artist because I identified with him so much, especially the whole "imaginary world with an ongoing story and drawing a thousand pictures of it" thing, and also the fact that he talked out loud to imaginary friends and voiced their responses back to himself, something which I also do.

My other favorite documentary is called I Think We're Alone Now, which is about two people, a man with Asperger's and an intersexual, who are obsessed with a pop star from the 80s named Tiffany. Aspies should also see this one, especially if they have ever had an obsession with a celebrity.

My wife and I just rented The Man From Earth. Be warned, for those whose Christian convictions are easily offended, this movie is not for you. But for a movie with little action beyond some very outstanding dialogue, it definitely keeps your attention.

Overrated? 8O

An Education was nominated for Best Picture!

I saw it during its theatrical run because Nick Hornby wrote the screenplay.

Well I happen to think the Academy Awards, especially the past eight or ten years, are a bogus media show with just a few tributes to actual actors who are ahead of the game, such as Tilda Swinton and Javier Bardem. I bet Ms.Pregnancy 2011 Natalie Portman will get her award and thank her boyfriend for making her pregnant and her parents and finally cry on stage...nothing groundbreaking with her or Mulligan in my opinion.Anyone can act..few can MOVE audiences.

This Valentine's Day, my wife and I accompanied a friend to see The Eagle. Oh, there were a few anachronisms here and there (being that I specialized in ancient history in college, I tend to knit pick), but it was such a great movie that I overlooked them. It was, I think, a fair view of Roman era Britain - a cultural backwater in which both Romans and Barbarians committed horrendous atrocities. I may be biased, as I have more than a little Aspie obsession with Roman period north Europe, but over all, I enjoyed this flick. 8) :D

There's no such thing as a "little" Aspie obsession. ;)

I love Roman history, I'll have to see that movie sometime.

Just saw The Eagle last night. It was trash in my opinion. Weak story, not to much action and no epic battles like I thought it would have.

After Gladiator or The 300 almost anything will let you down.

I almost forgot, we also rented Sorority Row. Now, other than the female eye candy dressed in panties, this movie was an absolute stinker. As a horror film, it falls flat on its face. Even the college cuties can't save it.

last night I watched Case 39 thru On Demand.
I didn't really like it. The girl was WAY more creepier than the girl in the Orphan.
Esther was more cooler, (that's what I'm trying to say).

The Mechanic 8/10

I love the concept of an expert assassin finding a target, planning the kill, then watching the execution. But the story of the movie was so cliche. I would have enoyed it a lot more if it was just him being assigned targets and killing them.

Seen a lot of movies the last couple of days, for some reason. Batman: Under the Red Hood, Inglorious Basterds, Winter of Frozen Dreams, Taxi driver, District 9 and Fight club to name a few. Fight club might be one of the most awesome things I've ever seen.
